Common Follow-Up Questions
1. How soon after my Intake Consultation should I schedule a follow-up appointment?
Most Follow-Up Consultations are scheduled 2 to 3 months after your Intake Consultation, giving your body time to respond to your personalized treatment plan. For chronic or more complex conditions, Adriana Guarin may recommend several follow-ups spaced out over time as your plan is refined and your health goals evolve.
2. What happens during a Follow-Up Consultation?
A Follow-Up Consultation reviews your progress since your last visit in six steps: a check-in on your symptoms and results, re-examination (including EPD, pulse, and tongue assessment), evaluation of how well your current treatment is working, adjustments to your personalized plan, updated supplement and nutrition recommendations, and continued guidance toward your long-term health goals.
3. How much does a Follow-Up Consultation cost?
A Follow-Up Consult at Integrative Health Clinic costs €150. This covers your full progress review, treatment plan adjustments, and updated recommendations. Coverage for integrative and functional medicine varies by insurer and policy in the Netherlands, so we recommend checking with your own health insurance provider about reimbursement before booking.
4. What should I bring to my Follow-Up appointment?
Please bring any relevant medical records, recent laboratory results, and a current list of the medications or supplements you’re taking. Having this on hand helps Adriana Guarin accurately assess your progress and fine-tune your treatment plan during the consultation.
5. How many follow-up consultations will I need?
The number of Follow-Ups depends on your individual health goals and the complexity of your condition. Some patients need only one or two follow-ups to fine-tune their plan, while those managing chronic conditions, such as hormone imbalances or gut health issues, often benefit from several consultations spaced over time as treatment is refined.
